About

Peter focuses his practice on commercial and construction disputes, with a particular emphasis on arbitrating equipment-supplier issues in both the traditional and renewable energy sectors. He has extensive experience handling disputes arising from onshore wind, solar, combined-cycle gas power, and battery-storage projects. His practice also includes class action, securities, and complex commercial matters in state and federal courts nationwide.

Peter also serves as discovery counsel, managing the electronic discovery process in document-intensive disputes and investigations. He works closely with clients to navigate complex ESI issues—from negotiating ESI protocols to overseeing end-to-end document discovery—developing practical, cost-efficient strategies tailored to each matter.

Peter is deeply engaged in the Pittsburgh legal and business communities. He serves as Chair of the Homer S. Brown Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) and sits on the ACBA Board of Governors as the Division’s liaison. He is also an active member of the ACBA’s Construction Section.

In addition, Peter teaches a course on construction contracting for the Riverside Center for Innovation’s BizFIT Plus Training Program, which supports minority- and historically disadvantaged-owned construction businesses in the Pittsburgh region. He also volunteers with 100 Black Men of America, teaching public-speaking skills to middle- and high-school students to introduce them to legal and advocacy-oriented communication.

Peter lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Sarah, and their three young children. Outside of work, he enjoys platform tennis, baseball, and swimming.
