About

Scott represents corporations and other high-profile clients in complex, high-stakes litigation, including multimillion-dollar disputes, class actions, and government investigations. He currently serves as lead counsel to a publicly traded industrial gas and chemicals company in a significant California dispute. His practice spans all phases of litigation, from developing case strategy and managing discovery to taking and defending depositions and drafting dispositive motions and briefs.

Scott also advises clients facing government scrutiny, helping them navigate investigations involving environmental compliance, financial practices, and accounting issues. He has experience defending matters brought by agencies including the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and Environmental Protection Agency.

A substantial part of Scott’s practice focuses on complex electronic discovery. He has deep experience managing large-scale discovery efforts, including negotiating ESI protocols, overseeing document review and production, and coordinating fact development across multiple jurisdictions. He is currently part of teams representing a major global energy company in federal environmental citizen suits and one of the largest convenience store chains in North America, where he helps lead and streamline discovery strategy. Scott works closely with clients to develop practical, cost-effective solutions to the challenges of modern litigation.

Scott is also committed to public service and his local community. He volunteers with the Western District of Pennsylvania’s Pro Se Pro Bono Mediation Program and serves on the board of directors for the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. He is also the president of the University of Delaware Alumni Club of Pittsburgh and the commissioner of the Allegheny County Bar Association Basketball League.
