About
Heather helped found Hilgers PLLC and is the firm’s Chief Executive Officer. Prior to the formation of Hilgers PLLC, she served as the Associate Director of Career Services for the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Prior to her work with law students and alumni, Heather was a litigator for several years. She started her career as a criminal prosecutor, and then moved into the private sector, specializing in commercial construction litigation.
Heather’s dedication to service extends to her involvement with various organizations, including the Junior League of Lincoln, where she served as president, and the Board of Directors for CASA. She is currently involved as a room parent for North American Martyrs Catholic School’s PTO and serves on the North American Martyrs Catholic Church’s Stewardship Committee. She also serves on the statewide advisory board for the Lied Center for the Performing Arts. She is a current member of Nebraska’s chapter of YPO (Young Presidents Organization).
She supports women in law through her engagement with Attorneys Serving the Community and the Women Lead Conference. Heather and her husband, Mike, are proud parents to their four children: Alice, Elsie, Clara, and Michael. They remain dedicated to making a positive impact on the legal industry and their local community.
